Brian has trained hundreds of BIT/CARE teams in the core team functions of gathering information on a case, assessing the level of risk, and implementing an intervention and mitigation plan. Brian is the former president of the National Association for Behavioral Intervention and Threat Assessment, where he was part of the team that wrote their risk rubric. At DPrep, he designed the Pathways rubric, on online tool that assigned a risk rating based on the individual's behavior, making it easy to use and effective at mitigating bias in decision making.
