Dr. Van Brunt's work with The NCHERM Group includes consulting with and conducting trainings for schools, colleges, and universities on a variety of mental-health related topics, and presenting at conferences and online seminars.

National Association for Behavioral Intervention and Threat Assessment

Dr. Van Brunt is not only a past president of NaBITA, the National Association for Behavioral Intervention and Threat Assessment, but also serves as its current executive director.


Association of Title IX Administrators

ATIXA, the Association of Title IX Administrators, often invites Dr. Van Brunt to teach at its certification events and present at its annual conferences, on issues ranging from Title IX and Violence Against Women Act compliance to strategic prevention to conducting climate surveys.

Western Kentucky University

While serving as director of counseling and testing services at WKU from 2007–2013, Dr. Van Brunt supervised a staff of 10, as well as six interns, providing administrative direction, clinical supervision, direct clinical care, assessment, and budgetary oversight.

American College Counseling Association

In addition to being a past president of the American College Counseling Association, Dr. Van Brunt is a frequent presenter at its annual conferences.


Magna Publications

Dr. Van Brunt has presented many programs for Magna Publications, including on classroom management, helicopter parents, classroom bullying, aggression identification and management, and autism-spectrum disorder.

D-Prep provides training and consulting services for disaster preparation and emergency response. Dr. Van Brunt works with D-Prep to consult with K-12 schools on issues related to forming and maintaining behavioral intervetion teams.


All Things Diverse

Tammy Hodo, Ph.D. is an urban scholar specializing in diversity, inclusivity, and race relations. Dr. Van Brunt invited Dr. Tammy Hodo to deliver  the keynote address at the 2018 NaBITA conference in San Antonio, TX.

I Love You Guys Foundation

The “I Love U Guys” Foundation was started in 2006 by Ellen and John-Michael Keyes following a school shooting that took the life of their daughter, Emily. The Foundation is committed to school and community safety, and family reunification following a crisis.
